MEN OF HONOR

Men of Honor is an inspiring biographical drama based on the true story of Carl Brashear (Cuba Gooding Jr.), the first African American U.S. Navy Master Diver. Facing intense racial prejudice in the 1950s and 1960s, Carl perseveres through grueling deep-sea diving training under the initial hostility of Master Chief Leslie "Billy" Sunday (Robert De Niro), eventually winning his respect. When a horrific on-the-job accident later leads to the amputation of Carl's leg, he refuses to back down, fighting against physical disability and Navy bureaucracy—with Sunday at his side—to prove his capabilities and return to active service.
